The increased availability of the means of transport and communications has facilitated the emigration to Europe of young Arabs from countries governed by laws that favor Muslim citizens over members of other religious beliefs. This state of affairs has been the cause of misunderstanding among young people who come to Europe where equality of rights prevails and non-discrimination among citizens. At this moment Islam holds the whole world with its suspended soul, for its relations with the West and the Christian world, because one can really speak of two different worlds, which meet, collide and merge. The phenomenon of emigration from Muslim countries to European countries has been increasingly accentuated in recent times. It has generated problems of coexistence between different cultures, ways of life and customs. The widespread poverty, illiteracy, population growth and wars, push a large number of young people towards Europe and Italy in particular. It should not be overlooked that they are mostly Muslims bringing with them a set of traditions and practices which, besides being very different from ours, constitute a sort of prism through which they see and judge European societies.

For Giuseppe Samir Eid, Egyptian, in Milan for many years, there is a definite project to Islamize our country. Giuseppe Samir Eid, born in Egypt of Syrian-Lebanese parents, has lived in Italy for forty years. His is a singular story: he married a Marzotto di Valdagno, he is a consultant for business management, he collaborates with the Ambrosian Center for Documentation for Religions and has published several books including Christians and Muslims around 2000 (Paoline) and Islam: history, faith and culture (La Scuola)
I met my wife Clotilde, from Veneto, in London where I obtained a specialization in the field of economic control of companies, as she perfected the language. After the first years of falling in love, the main problem we had was that of cultural difference and mentality: she was financially autonomous and of strong personality, which is hardly suited to the education received in an Arab country. The religious problem did not exist, being all two Catholics. MSA.
Has the contribution of non-EU workers to the Italian economy become indispensable?

West and Islam

It would be wrong to set the West, which is a geographical-political entity, against Islam, which is a religion. It is more appropriate to speak of the differences between the laws (leaving aside the customs and habits) of the West and those of the Islamic states. It would be useful for everyone to illustrate the substantial differences that exist between Italian law and that of the countries of Islam. And it is well known that the Sharia applied in interpersonal relations discriminates against non-Muslims. The ambassadors of the countries of the Arab League represent countries, with the exception of Lebanon, which all have Islamic religious law, Sharia, as the source of their constitution.

We welcome some clarification from Giuseppe Samir Eid, a Christian of Arab origin, on the terminology and current concepts cited in his book on Islam. Islam: Indicates total submission, the will of Allah, to be supreme, (Akbar, without associates) and acceptance of his decrees. Some Islamic schools claim that the God known to Christians, namely the Tri- nity, is not the same God worshiped by Muslims. Sharia: is the totality of the orders ex- tracted from the Sunna t of the Koran and any other laws deduced from these two sources of jurists from the VII to the IX centuries AD and which were crystallized thereafter. Koran: the word of God tran- smitted to the prophet Mohammed. Sunnah: the collection of what Muhammad said, did or accepted, his example of life. Madrassa or madaress: it is the place of teaching of the Koran, generally attached to mosques. This teaching still continues very often ‚to teach a traditional religion which conceives that the western way of life (assimilated to Christianity) is contrary to Islam and therefore proposes an Islamized West. The effect of this teaching on millions of people is intuitive.
