199 Atonement: The renunciation of the retribution is ato- nement for sins: • No one can have faith if it's not God's will. • If combined with good works it is rewar- ded by God. • God loves those who trust in him. Good works: • They will be rewarded by God • without faith they are vain • If you punish, you punish in proportion to the offence received. But if you bear it patiently, it will be even better for tho- se who can bear it. Polygamy: You won't be able to be impartial with your wives even if you want to... and you won't be able to overlook one or more. Humility: It manifests itself in prayer Veil: Tell your wives, daughters and women of the believers to cover themselves in their cloaks (veils). It is the best way to be reco- gnized and not to be harassed. Virtue: Goodness, almsgiving, trust in God, justice, honesty, good works, patience, humility. People from the book: The Qur'an is often ambivalent and am- biguous towards Christians and Book people, but it seems to make tolerance prevail, unfortunately not comforted in practice. Especially among the people the belief that non-Muslims are destined for hell remains rooted, and every Muslim always feels the more or less conscious desire to spread Islam. 1.There are some verses, (God's word for the Muslims), very hostile towards the C. and the Jews, (the people of the book) on the other hand chapters 3 and 19 of the Koran are full of tenderness in evoking Mary the Mother of Jesus, the birth of Mary and her childhood, The Annunciation, Christmas. a great vene- ration towards Jesus even though they do not consider him a child of God. 2.in the early years he showed them friendship and then as the years went by he ordered to fight them. 3.The scriptures remind us that man has a Creator, must obey His command- ments, and will return to Him: • "We believe what has been revealed to us, we believe what has been revealed to you. Our God and your God is one, and to Him we are submissive Muslims (Ko- ran29,46). • Those who believe in God and do good on the last day and do good will all have their mercy from their Lord, they will have nothing to fear, nor will they feel sadness (2,62). 4. Hostility: • Fight those who do not believe ... and who consider lawful what God and His Messenger have declared unlawful and, among those to whom the book was given, those who do not profess the religion of truth. Fight them until they humbly pay the tribute. (9,29). • Let there be no constraint in religion! The righteous way is distinct from error ... the unbelievers will end up in the fire and remain there forever (2,256). • Therefore, when you meet in battle those who do not believe, strike them in the neck, and after slaughtering them with blows, tighten the stumps well.
